  1. Designer Notes 45: Rami Ismail

Great episode, thanks for sharing! Maybe I missed something, but I didn't feel this way at all. He was quite open and honest about the differences in personality between himself and JW. What he described was a partnership that worked because of how different the two of them are. I think this level of awareness and honesty about yourself plus those you work with is extremely important, and can be very helpful when communicating and collaborating. Nothing I heard seemed unfair, and I feel he did a good job of expressing his perspective while still being respectful.
  2. Quitter's Club: Don't be ashamed to quit the game.

I've found that as I get older I have less patience for any form of media that wastes my time. If I feel a creator of a work is becoming too self indulgent, or has lost the thread, I stop right there and walk away. I think there is nothing wrong with walking away from something that holds no value to the viewer/reader/player/listener. Strangely, I somehow managed to finish the initial story arc of Destiny, and in a way I'm kinda glad. The story and narrative is on a level of such hot garbage as to be awe inspiring in a way... and hilarious. If you've not had the chance to witness the sheer majesty of it's final cinematic (for the arc) I suggest watching a video of it. And that speech intended to inspire, what a stunning piece of horrendous dialogue. I haven't played Destiny since.

  4. What happened to Sean on Idle Thumbs?

I really enjoy Idle Thumbs for the balance of goofy bullshit with really thoughtful conversations. It's for this reason that it's my favourite podcast. This is also why I really enjoyed episodes where Sean was involved, as I feel he adds a great balance of goofy while also being able to articulate an introspective view in a very thoughtful manner. I have no intention of telling others what to do, but I personally would love to see Sean as a guest when others can't make it.
