I've been playing it. I like it, a lot. I like that it's easier to go down alternate history paths than in hoi3 (such as communist germany, facist france, etc.) I think the trade screen is genius. I don't have to automate trade anymore, because they made it actually easy to set up trades on your own. I appreciate that they got rid of the old process of producing civilian goods to make money then trading money for resources, instead you can just rent out your civilian goods industry in exchange for resources. I like the national focus trees, but I wish they were longer and more varied (something mods will address no doubt).
Most of my complaints right now are related to the AI. It's mostly competent when it comes to combat and can even pull of naval invasions (sort of). However, I find that when it comes to diplomacy it seems like I'm playing by myself. I've boosted ideological support in several countries and even staged coups causing the countries to flip to a different political ideology, but have never seen the AI engage in the same tactics. In fact you can flip basically any country in the game to your faction ideology if you just start supporting it from the beginning of the game. By 1939 you're virtually guaranteed to have flipped even major powers like the US or UK. There needs to be more push back from AI nations. I also think peace conferences are pretty messed up at the moment, but I understand they are already working on it.
Overall if you're on the fence, I'd maybe hold off for a month or two and then dive in. It's much more approachable than Hoi3, like exponentially so and most of the changes seem to have been for the better.
Dang it now I really want to pull off my plan of building up the Turkish military and conquering Greece when the German fortunes turn in Russia. Might have to get this game now.

Neat, glad this one is in Paris since I haven't finished unlocking Marrakech yet.
Looks very snipeable as well
Also a neat piece about how repetition makes Hitman good:
EDIT
Got the elusive targetWas super easy, started as a lighting guy on the second floor, got the sheik disguise scoped out the shot from the pile driver. Got a guard disguise from near the boat. Got the sniper rifle I had stashed in the garden shed. Got a head shot and set off the fireworks just for fun

"After a post in the HTC Vive subreddit titled "Fuck Facebook, and fuck Oculus," regarding their propensity to buy exclusives, a Croteam developer for Serious Sam jumped in for comment. "Eagleshadow," who participated in an AMA for the game previously today (and subsequently confirmed his identity), notes that Oculus tried to buy Serious Sam VR, and they turned down a "shitton of money" in the process.A hatred of exclusives seems to be the reason, though this also technically means that the game is still an HTC Vive exclusive for the time being (since there's only passing mention of Oculus support in logo form, though the trailer only showcases and mentions the Vive). Live and let live I guess.
Serious Sam VR will be out this summer in Early Access form. On the Vive!"

Unclear. Maybe free if you own the level already?

The 7th episode is a mystery location, right?
"season finale in Japan" makes me think no. but I could be wrong
-
I guess I'm confused because they said there would be 7 locations. Are they counting the tutorial?
Edit: Just to be clear, not complaining, I've already spent 40 hours playing this game so it is not like it is a rip off or anything, just genuinely don't understand.
It is listed on the destinations so i guess so. It will be interesting to see what they do after the end of this 'season'

Thailand, I think?
Yep Thailand then the US then Japan.

This one might be tricky for me, not a lot of fast food is vegetarian. Perhaps some sort of breakfast item.

Interesting:
We are excited to announce the release of the Summer Bonus Episode for HITMAN on July 19th.
The Summer Bonus Episode consists of two separate ICA missions which catalogue Agent 47’s first trips to both Sapienza and Marrakesh. This Episode is not part of the story arc of HITMAN, being previous ICA missions they are set apart from the main story.

The Icon
When the town of Sapienza is taken over by a film crew shooting a new sci-fi blockbuster. Agent 47 must aim to retire one of the cast members during a climactic scene being staged late at night in the town square.
A House Built on Sand
Set at the frenetic night markets in Marrakesh, a mole for a major construction company is about to sell secrets to their largest rivals. Agent 47 is tasked with making sure the leak stops there. The Summer Bonus Episode will also present a range of new in-game Challenges and Opportunities and an entirely new setting for Escalation Contracts and Elusive Targets.
Each location will have a completely different feel when you revisit it. The Icon, set in Sapienza will even have a crazy giant killer robot, which allows us to show what we can do with HITMAN as a live game and it also feels like the perfect midway point of the season before the final three locations; Thailand, the United States and the season finale in Japan arrive later in 2016.
We'll be talking more about the Summer Bonus Episode throughout E3. Stay tuned!https://hitman.com/en-us/news/hitman-summer-bonus-episode-announced
I really hope the Sci Fi one is where we kill Gary Busey

Made my first dive in the Revive today. I wanted to get Subnautica's Oculus support working on my Vive, it and somewhat succeeded. Had some weird graphics issues when a lot of loading was happening and the controls are a mess on the gamepad, still a really pretty game. Can't wait for more diving VR games.
If you're interested in Revive, it was surprisingly easy to set up.

I played it, really solidly made. I am a fan of the moving backgrounds, especially in the tron stage.
the final boss is actually pretty hard, took me a while to get the last gold dradle? reflected back at him.

The idea of approaching some one out of the blue at a bar or public space is so weird to me. I don't know why they are there and its probably not to talk to me. I really hate imposing on people.

Last number I saw for living wage in Minneapolis was $23.50 for a single parent and child. $12 isn't enough, $15 is better but still won't be enough. but its almost double the current minimum in Minnesota. Part of the goal is to build a movement that can then push for other things like rent control and shaking up city council.
We are past the legal minimum for signatures to get $15 on the ballot in November. Our two biggest concerns right now are the city council undercutting us with something like $12, which has happened in other cities or a legal challenge where the city tries to say that it cannot legally raise the minimum wage in this way. Similar concerns about legality were ignored when the new Vikings Stadium needed funding and the City Council just mandated sick leave for all employees in the city (after shooting down a more comprehensive grassroots supported bill last year). Should be interesting.

I did a thing

Yeah, that totally makes sense. I don't watch any sports so it never even occurred to me.
In the US is a good way to watch foreign sports too. A lot of pubs show soccer during the day. Good way to meet other fans too.

We have the Donald Duck party in Finland as well and it gets usually more votes than some major candidates in elections.
Now a not so serious question. If Hillary wins, that means Bill returns to the White House. What will be his title since he is the (former) president of USA but he will also be "the first lady" of the USA?
How are former presidents usually called in USA? In Finland they are usually still called presidents or in some cases former presidents. America's Bill question is special since he used to be the president and would now then be the husband of the president.
They are usually called Mr President. Hillary is often referred to as Madam Secretary even though she is no longer Secretary of State. There have been a few presidents who have gone to Congress, the Senate or the Supreme Court after their terms, I don't know if you go with their highest title or most recent in that case.
My guess is Bill will go with First Gentleman because having people still call him Mr. President would be disrespectful to his wife IMO. After she is out of office he will probably go back to it.

What are you guys doing for your standard loadout?
Right now I start with the either the remote explosive or poison (the other one will be my stashed item), the silverballer and lock pick. I found that the fiber wire isn't all that useful and stopped bringing it. Still waiting on the suitcase W2000 sniper rifle.I am also really starting to get annoyed by the unlocks, I wish you got to pick. I really just want the gear, don't care about stash or starting locations as much.

Vaping Stalin approves of this game.

I think it's probably safe to say drone strikes are going to remain an important part of US counter-terrorism strategy for the foreseeable future, regardless of who is president, including Bernie (who himself has explicitly stated as such). So I think comparisons between "idealism" and "inexperience" and "experience" are basically meaningless when it comes to expectations of that changing.
I also think Hillary Clinton being painted as the hawk to end all hawks has become more of a meme than any real foreign policy analysis. I'm not saying she's a dove, but she's also not some kind of crazy warmonger. In her tenure as Secretary of State she exhibited a wide variety of foreign policy strategies.
And overall, as I indicated before, I believe that anyone stepping into a commanding position in US foreign policy (or, really, the foreign policy of any major international power with significant involvement in world affairs) is going to have a significant share of their decisions heavily influenced by the momentum of all the decisions that have come before them, regardless of what they have the freedom to claim while running for president. What I mainly want is for a president not to make things worse through ineptitude, and to make things better where safely possible. I trust Clinton to work towards those aims as competently as anyone else would, certainly infinitely more than someone like Trump.
Its really sad considering drones are a totally ineffective strategy for counter terrorism:
"In January 2010, I lent my vehicle to my nephew, Salimullah, to drive to Deegan for an oil change and to have one of the tires checked. Rumours had surfaced that drones were targeting particular vehicles, and tracking particular phone signals. The sky was clear and there were drones circling overhead. As Salimullah conversed with the mechanic, a second vehicle pulled up next to mine. There were four men inside, just local chromite miners. A missile destroyed both vehicles, killed all four men, and seriously injured Salimullah, who spent the next 31 days in hospital."
"4. Terrorists cannot defeat us; we can only defeat ourselves."

"in both Yemen and Syria. And the Islamic State also continues to gain ground in both countries. Meanwhile, in Libya, it’s “utter chaos,” former U.N. advisor Dirk Vandewalle told the Times: The Islamic State and al Qaeda-linked groups are vying for power, and a recent U.S. drone strike against al Qaeda operative Mokhtar Belmokhtar “shows that we’re still relying on ad hoc measures.” In Iraq, Somalia, and Afghanistan, it’s the same story. The United States continues to rely heavily on airstrikes and targeted killings, while terrorist groups continue to cause mayhem and gain adherents."

I recently finished Thieves of State a fantastic book that points the finger at corrupt and inept governance as a main cause of terrorism. You can kill as many of them as you want, but if you do nothing to resolve the source of the issue you will murder civilians at a rate of 10 to 1 for no reason.
Can anyone honestly argue that that US is winning in Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria or Pakistan?
But lets keep voting for the status quo, I'm sure it will be fine.
