I saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them it was just as much of a cynical cash in as expected. Poorly written, heavy use of CGI, bad jokes, predictable plot. I can believe they will be making four more of them, I just hope people get wise after this one.

I am doing some post-election purging of my podcasts both political and otherwise. I really want to replace the Vergecast with another podcast because I don't like them as a media company. Anyone know of a good product focused technology podcast?

I feel like the setup was a good one for something pretty comical, but the route they went with it was about as boring as Chris's solution.
Gotta get dem mastery points tho

I get the feeling that a lot of the mid game difficulties are supposed to revolve around ethics divergance. There are even events like the genetic enhancement and AI chains that are supposed to diversify your empire and make it fall apart internally, but the only time I ever find it getting extreme enough to cause a real problem is when I'm conquering a bunch of alien populations. Peaceful empires have nothing to do.
I am planning on waiting for a few expansions to come out before i consider returning to it. Too busy with hearts of iron 4 anyway

I 'completed' Hitman 2016 Season 1 recently. Mechanically this is without question the best Hitman game so far. Storywise its just as bad as the rest of them. While I am not ready to say it is overall better than Blood Money, partially due to the smaller level count, it is close if not tied for the best game in the series in my mind.
I was definitely worried about the episodic release schedule, but I think for a game like Hitman it works perfectly. In previous games I would burn through levels doing well enough to finish it until I beat the game, then I would return to previous levels to play around with them more. With the episodic releases I would play individual levels to death, or at least until Mastery 20 and got super excited whenever the next one released.
I am not a huge fan of the escalation missions, partially because I am bad at them, but the Elusive Targets concept is really fun. I have also appreciated how good of a game for streaming Hitman is. I wish my internet was better so I could join in.
I am very happy with the game overall and hope that season 2 keeps up the momentum.

Those amounts are used to fiddle with average donation size numbers. Sometimes they have symbolism. When I was working with Fight for $15, we were selling shirts for $15 and used it as a suggested donation amount.

Things that passed in states that went for Trump:
Arizona raised its minimum wage to $12 an hour also Sheriff Joe Arpaio, a six term racist bigot lost his bid for relection.
Florida, North Carolina and Arkansas passed medical marijuana, Montana loosed its restrictions on it as well.
I think there is space for a liberal candidate who isn't tied to wall street and will focus on the real issue of growing inequality and dealing with the people left behind by globalization and automation. -

Walter's problems stem from an issue with how he sees himself as a member of society and the head of his family. His greatest weaknesses come from a need to be masculine, masquerading as a sense of doing what's right for his family.
He could have swallowed his pride taken a gift in the first episode and that would have been that

Progressives need to start looking locally, this vote once every 4 years thing is for the birds.
For sure, there are probably city and/or statewide votes in most places next year, 2018 will be a chance to make more gains in congress and the senate.

Nixon did pass the EPA

I am really saddened by all my friends that are spouting so much anger and blame right now. I understand the need to vent, but they are declaring they know exactly what happened and who is to blame. This is not how we win.

My plan is to have NPR or NYT on half my screen and local NPR on my other half. Need to find out who wins those school board seats!

there were so many amazing mosaics and carved decorations in buildings. A taboo on depicting humans and animals in art has lovely results.

Headlines portraying the election race as tightening, but that isn't really happening is it now? The Princeton site now predicts 100% chance for Clinton.
Press freedom is being wasted on sensationalism all around the world I guess.
This election has been the culmination of multiple long term issues in this country. The mainstream media's obsession with being 'balanced' even when one side is 100% wrong while at the same time pretending that Republican ideas and Democrat ideas are the only kind of ideas that exist, news programs that are more focused on being entertaining and drawing viewers than informing them, the desire for every political race to be super close so more people will watch the news and a very long campaign by right wing media to discredit more centrist media.

The new expansion is everything I was hoping for, more national focuses, more system complexity, more nations to liberate. Super excited about it. I hope the next several expansions just go more in depth for different regions/groups like this.

I really liked this article https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2016/11/01/hitman-review-season-one/
I for one am very excited for the prospect of a second season. I do hope they remake some old levels eventually, would be fun to see some classic levels redone with opportunities and fancier graphics.
