  1. Ground Kontrol is at the top of the list. We will be biking around the city Friday-sunday. Suggestions?
  2. Books, books, books...

Tell us about the lobsters. Not sure I would click that link
  3. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

Alas, our router is upstairs - way too far away from my TV/steam link.
  4. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

Thank you for the detailed impressions. I'm pulled between the modding ability and cheaper price of the PC version and the realization that at this point in my life I simply prefer sitting on the couch to game. (I have a steam link, but on the first try playing a game it froze up. Not a great sign )
  5. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

Please let us know how the hardware holds up during the late game. I'm tempted since I skipped it on PC.
  6. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

But the Pro controller is lovely for Celeste
  7. Episode 299: Earliest Access

I searched my email for the one that might have included a key for backers - couldn’t find anything. How can I play it now?
  8. Haven't listened to this yet, bit I want to point out donoteat has an incredible series on YouTube looking at the history of Urban planning (often from a leftist, materialist perspective) by looking at the evolution of a fictional city named Franklin using cities skylines.
  9. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

I never had trouble with the rhythm games - and it really makes me want a Rhythm Heaven on switch. Make it happen Nintendo please.
  10. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

Merus, what do you think of Gita Jackson's critiques here? Seems like the switch version was modeled after the mobile version? https://kotaku.com/the-world-ends-with-you-final-remix-the-kotaku-review-1829697381/amp
  11. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

My first thought is keep the wonderful landscapes but add bustling cities with Majoras Mask-style schedules for the inhabitants to make it feel more alive
  12. Episode 427: Northgard

What difficulty y'all playing on for the campaign? I ran up against a stalemate with enemy ships dropping soldiers continually killing my army, only three or four missions in 😞

Is it nice to play with a controller? I'm always tempted to get a wheel setup but the adult inside stops me
  14. Episode 427: Northgard

You sold me on this game halfway in, purchased and started playing. I love the look and the pace of it. So much nicer to play than a stressful competitive RTS
  15. Slay the Spire: Gettin' Spired

    *Standard hoping-for-Switch-port post*
  16. People who have played both, does the change in engine change how it feels to play to a great degree?
  17. Holy shit, am I crazy or would this be fun in lots of RTS single player campaigns? With a system styled like Baldurs Gate I could just pause when needed to micro battles. That would make it much more interesting since I seem to revert back to mindless macro overproduction in a mindless mobs attack moving across the map.
  18. Haven't read any of this thread, but the game is 20 bucks on steam right now I'm getting it soon for my birthday 🎂
  19. Oxeren, sorry to be that annoying guy, but any Switch plans for Steam Tactics? Your game looks pretty rad.
  20. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

It plays well on the sticks, yea? I’m interested but I’ve gotten the impression that the accuracy of the mouse is superior for the fast pace. I don’t have either version.

SBM, I enjoyed it as well but definitely enjoyed the golf quests more than the RPG style fetch quests. The mansion wasn't the high point for me.
  22. Modest Tech: The NX Generation (Nintendo Switch)

Does a glorious game like Mario not deserve it's own thread?
  23. Just purchased this game! General tips would be appreciated or just tell me to read the thread. Would also love to play with some thumbs sometime

I beat Golf Story. The weakest point for me was the adventure game style item hunts. Wandering around the bourgie mansion looking for item combinations or dashing around the beach area wasnt great. The regular golfing was fun, not too hard and I was consistently surprised at how the game added or constrained the rules for challenges. The birds and gophers were an obvious wacky choice for the former and making you putt all the way to the hole the latter. I loved the variety. I hope they make a sequel where the putting greens are made a bit more complicated and the story more than throwaway.
