It's pretty funny too.
If you don't like golf video games you won't like this.
I think I'm going to pick it up after I finish the Mario & Rabbids main story mode, looking forward to it. Seems like a pretty relaxing, fun game.
I have to say the Switch is killing it on the indie game front. I'm looking forward to OxenFree and Axiom verge coming out!

Yep! But knives made of inferior steel dull quicker, I think the Victorinox is one of the cheapest "nice" knife you can get and keep a decent edge for a while!

Thanks, that looks like a great deal! Might have to grab it, I'm not sure which style I prefer yet

I'd like to recommend a nice Chef's knife - my In-Laws got me one for my birthday and holy cow, it makes a difference.
You can get a great knife for pretty cheap ($40), it will last you ages and make general cutting/chopping a breeze.

Yeah that made me feel better about the series, she really pulled the game out of the garbage - I was afraid they were about to hit the death spiral in that game. I guess that would lead them canonically to XCOM2 though, hah.

Congrats!
This continues to be my groups go-to game, I do kind of feel our momentum slipping which is a little sad as I've definitely enjoyed having a reason to hang out in a discord and drink a few beers with friends who have moved away.
I love the fog map! it really nerfs snipers and promotes hunting people in medium to close range situations. I am still waiting for a fog Chicken dinner.

I wish they allowed for a Luigi/Peach combo, I am finding myself just mainly using Luigi and Rabbid Peach instead.

The boss from world 3 was a classic: a musical phantom boss with a fun (if not entirely well-produced) song spoofing the hell out of Mario. Nice high note in what is already a very fun game. The musical boss is a scarcely used fixture at this point, harkening back to Conkers Bad Fur Day, I think? The JRPG Rhapsody had a lot of musical stuff going on as well, but not sure which came first.
I can't agree more, totally awesome!

Anyone play the OctoPath demo? That's a JRPG-ass JRPG game, but man the look is so cool!

Yeah, I think we're supposed to get a full Monster Factory today, but not a huge fan of the 'Just like Art' series.

Based off this description, they don't sound nearly as interesting as Jackal or Mira, but I love traps and I have a hard time effectively using sensory-deprevation devices so I'm looking forward to trying these new G.I.Joe toys out. I'm glad I have a season-pass; I look forward to new operators rather than dreading them. Based off the descriptions I probably wouldn't unlock any three of these characters if I had to grind for them.
It was good playing with you again @clyde ! I see why people dig this game, I wish the DLC operators were maybe a bit more attainable via regular currency hah.

People in my group have been known to call the sks the skuzz, I'm not sure where they picked it up.

Whoa, RubixQube I did not know we had someone working on the James Webb Telescope on here. I hope all has been well, I was actually just wondering this morning how NASA were preventing flooding to sensitive places like the testing chamber.

The entire account is bangers, and I love it so much.
So. good.
7 hours ago, Roderick said:Yes, Rabbid Peach is pretty good. Though I temporarily ditched her as soon as I got Luigi Actual. He's such a glass cannon, but he can throw a mini tank and for fuck's sake he's Luigi. I'm hoping we get Captain Toad and/or Toadette in the party too. They've grown to become my fave Mario characters.
Rabbid Peach has a turret and can group heal!

Yeah, i'm nearly done with World 1 and definitely hoping things ramp up a little bit. I hate myself for admitting this, but Rabbid Peach is a pretty good character.

Anyone pick up Mario + Rabbids Kingdom battle? pretty decent XCOM lite! It's been a fun commute game.

Does anyone have experience selling prints? It seems like a headache!
My wife works at a hospital and one of the head doctors wants to put one of my eclipse photos up in his office, which is really flattering, but I think he wants the digital files to print them himself. Normally I don't mind, but I'd like them to be printed at a reputable place so they look as good as they can, is that unreasonable? Am I being too protective of my photography? Do I sound like a pretentious wanker?
After months of research, hours of practice and buying a lens specific for the Eclipse it would kind of annoy me that someone is just going to have the picture printed out at a crappy Walgreens photo center because I want the end product to reflect that time, effort and work. I don't think I'd charge or anything, but I am having conflicting feelings on how much control I should have over my work and feeling a little self-conscious about those feelings.

I picked up the game IronCast which is like a tactical mech combat puzzle game? Seems pretty neat so far. I've been looking for something puzzely to play on the train and this is filling that need pretty well!
-
Thanks, it was an incredible time!

I go between frustration and entertained with their x-com series - I thought Dan was going to be their ringer, but wow - not great hah.
Also, I really enjoy Abby and Ben's new podcast - improv heavy and goofy.
-
Man, so looking forward to this! I'm glad they are finally starting to release footage, I was getting a little nervous!

Polygon show is great! I'm not a big fan of Plant/Frushstick so I kind of bounced off of that show. It's hard to find a replacement for Jeff's history lessons - I always find his knowledge of the industry pretty interesting.

Man, I feel like I just lived through two Switch commercials:
1. It's bring your kid to work day, which means a lot of bored kids. I setup my switch on the kickstand and let them play some Mario Kart.
2. On my train home I found 3 other Switch owners and we played Mario Kart and Splatoon 2.

I thought the pilot episodes were pretty okay, my wife actually loved it which shocked me as she generally hates most sci-fi, especially those with alien makeup prosthetics. I wish there was a way to watch it outside the CBS All Access ecosystem as I probably won't sub for just that.
