AV Club comments are pretty scattershot these days. The TV Club regulars are usually pretty good though, same with the gameological regulars.
I've been watching Steven Universe and goodness it's adorable. I don't love it like I do Adventure Time, but I'm only a few episodes in. AT feels like it was made for me, while SU skews younger and has more of an anime-ish influnce in terms of being about a super team that protects a village/the world. The art and music are lovely as heck. The piano theme is just wonderful.
Keep with it. Steven Universe has long since eclipsed Adventure Time in terms of my enjoyment of each.

For a brief moment I thought this movie might be alright, because it has a fairly high Rotten Tomatoes score, but then I started reading the review pull quotes and it's like everyone simultaneously decided to lower their standards just for this movie.
Trevorrow is having fun taking as little of this as seriously as he needs to.
A real thrill ride in the tradition of the series. It's not going to win any writing awards, but for big summer popcorn spectacle, this film is exactly what it needs to be.
Here's the thing: You can wrestle those Big Questions, if you want. Me? I mostly just wanted to see how awesome dinosaurs would look with today's CGI. And people running for their lives.
It can't be the amazing revelation the first film was, but "Jurassic World" is a great amusement park ride...and the best sequel to it's predecessor we've had.
Jurassic World is a big, shiny, and entertaining roller coaster ride, though the 'World' is more interesting than the people.
...And my personal favourite...
You don't go to the fourth Jurassic Park movie for up-to-date gender politics. You go for the crunchy dino-on-human action, and Jurassic World provides plenty of that.
The highlight of every single positive review is this sort of hilariously unenthusiastic or sarcastic praise, and it's like that across the board. It's so weird.

I would fund the heck out of a Teg Patreon or GoFundMe.
I would too!
Takin' you up on that offer! I'll be adding more to the page as I go along. Expect BIG THINGS in the future!

Sorry, Sigg.
So I read Fun Home the other day. Daunting read. I especially liked the way that each chapter is filled with comparisons to a specific book and what it meant to Bechdel and her father.
EDIT: holy shit, there's going to be a Nimona animated film. This is right after Lumberjanes got picked up for a live-action movie. It is a good time to be Noelle Stevenson.

Depends what subreddits you follow. For example, I'm almost entirely in cooking or programming ones, and those're pretty alright. Especially the cooking ones.
I specifically think of 4chan because there are definitely okay boards or threads on there that are okay, but it's not worth it for the overwhelming amount of shit on the rest of the site.
-
I feel like I realized pretty early on that Reddit is 4chan. Like, that is a venn diagram that's just a circle. They're exactly the same audience, exactly the same signal to noise ratio, everything.

I approve of this thread title (and want to play this game)

Ants are the most asshole insects in the world. Most insects will more or less leave you alone and only attack you if they feel threatened but ants just seek you out, march up your leg and just start biting the shit out of you for no fucking reason. If I didn't know any better, I could swear that they are marching up my leg with the sole mission of wrecking my balls.
Yard work has gotten especially bad lately.
I'm guessing there's a nest somewhere in your yard and that they're defending it. You can't really move ants, so you'll pretty much have to have them exterminated if you want to be rid of them.

Fuck yeah, Ratatat.

I don't actually do any of Steam's bullshit "gamify your store!" bullshit that they do for sales.

The only thing on my Wishlist not currently on sale is You Need A Budget 4.

Also, their fucking sizzle reel crashed.
Not gonna lie, Oculus Touch (the weird controller things) looks goddamn amazing.

Foil Isabelles going for $50,000 Buy it Now on eBay. The world is crumbling. tegan sits on a throne, glancing at a "Nintendo World Championships 2020" stamped foil GracieGrace.
"Where are your packs now, scalpers"
I have some kind of absurd luck with trading cards. I got three foil rares in the same pack of Pokémon cards one time.

Christopher Lee was one of my favourite actors. I'm gonna have to watch a couple of his movies today.
He spoke a billion different languages, which is something I've always wanted to learn.

I'm probably not going to try to get any besides the Splatoon ones and the Animal Crossing cards; because as much as I love Olimar, Ness, Jigglypuff, Game & Watch, etc; there's no way in hell I'm willing to fight scalpers for that many of these things.
The Animal Crossing cards will be interesting, because as long as you can find SOME packs in stores it'll mean scalpers aren't guaranteed to have all the rare ones.

They already got divorced in season eight for "A Milhouse Divided," and they remarried by the end of the episode. I'm expecting exactly the same thing to happen here, but with even more terrible headline-grabbery. Remember Krusty's father's death?

note: I have no goddamn idea where to put these. I don't like having little figurines and toys and shit everywhere

goddamn you all

I think that Steam definitely counts as The Man, so given that they managed to get pulled (temporarily) from Steam for what they were doing, does that make them anti-establishment?
They give a special thanks to "Lord Gaben" in the credits.
so no
