Hey guys, I'm doing my spring cleaning and decided to finally take the plunge and ditch as much of my physical media as I can. I'm still hard up for cash and the local resellers don't pay much, so I figured it would benefit everyone involved if I gave you guys first dibs. All items are Region 1/NTSC, mostly bought in Canada. Everything will be shipping from Atlantic Canada. Shipping is a flat $10 within North America, which is about what it costs to ship a single DVD within the continent. Buy more stuff, save more on shipping! Items will be sent at the lowest priority shipping speed. If you want to buy internationally, I'll figure out the shipping and charge you the exact amount.
Condition ranges from "good" (some of the DVDs were formal rentals or bought used) to "excellent" (basically everything else). None of the discs are scratched and nearly all the BRs have cardboard slipcases. The worst you can expect for most of them is that some of the spines are faded, with the sole exception of the Batman: The Animated Series set, which sadly got knocked off a shelf when I left a window open during a rainstorm. The booklet is water-damaged and one of the plastic cases is broken, but all the discs work fine. PM me if you wanna buy something. I'll be striking stuff out as it gets claimed.

It got featured on GoNintendo this morning. I'm gonna be really pleased if this one random Wizard Jam game ends up eclipsing the entire event.

I was looking through some old Bbcasts today and it turns out Giant Bomb predicted this shit years ago.
-
it actually most reminds me of the kinds of games Sega was making in their Dreamcast days.
I agree, but this is probably not a comparison that inspires confidence.

I want a whole bunch of those robot butterflies.

I hope that we gradually keep slotting increasingly tenuous stuff in until the lower end of the list is like "every episode of Kill la Kill" or "the Bitch Planet comic book series."

I feel like the surprisingly low number of voters maybe speaks more volumes than intended. Where was this conducted?

So my camera's dead right now, but last night I got me a shiny Cottonee, which I level-capped and then evolved into Whimsicott. Then today I decided I'd go for a Chandelure. I nailed down the nature and egg moves and then put it in the daycare to nail down its stats.
The first egg was a shiny with 18/31/31/31/31/31.
I have no idea what to do now.

You come to a fork in the road guarded by two Six Mix-A-Lots. One likes big butts and cannot lie, the other likes big butts and cannot tell the truth.

Guy Fieri looks like a Fire-type Pokémon Gym Leader.

I think I need to play streaming Pikmin 2 multiplayer with the Thumbs now.

To be fair I still think that everything he's worked on has been goddamn brilliant, I just have some criticisms.

Hah well I dunno who that is.
Also I'm talking about this cartoon like I ever watched it. I saw like five episodes total probably.
Character designer for nearly every DC cartoon between Batman: The Animated Series and Justice League. Does a lot of very clean, stylized designs at the expense of giving everyone one of three body types: Guy, Big Guy, Skinny Guy, and Girl. And they all have the same hilariously straightlaced default standing pose.

"A Shitload of Blums" is the Clint Eastwood/Jeff Goldblum buddy comedy that was never meant to be.

That Harley is wearing revealing clothing (they're shorts), or that a female character is wearing revealing clothing? Because Harley is a Jersey goil, and Harley seems more or less in line with the terrible fashion decisions of her homeland (as opposed to, say, Arkham Asylum, where Harley's in a corset because I guess she's being... a nurse? Except a sexy nurse? What does that have to do with Harley?)
Harley Quinn is a medical professional with a PHD in criminal psychology.

All from last night:

On the other hand, Dan suggested "Hideo Kojima's Waluigi World" on the latest Bombcast and now I don't think I can rest until I get to hear a David Hayter-voiced Waluigi babble on a bout "nanomushrooms."

Saltybet is an audience betting on fights between two bots playing as random fanmade MUGEN characters from a pool of something like 1400. Sometimes characters are legit attempts to recreate a specific fighting game character, sometimes they're a rip of a Popeye sprite that does thousands of points of damage and has a hitbox half the size of their opponent. It's amazing.

Life
in Idle Banter
Without getting into too much detail, I finally got a prescription for something I've needed and been trying to get forever, which is nice. Unfortunately it's not covered by NB medicare, so I had to pay ninety dollars for a three-month supply. Oof.
I still haven't been able to find a job. I know I've been asking a lot lately, but any financial help anyone can offer is appreciated.

Captain Boomerang having a taped-up boot is a nice touch, because of course Captain Boomerang would rather duct tape a boot back togehter than buy a new one. The rest can fuck right off.

On the subject of horror, The Wolf Man (1941) might be worth an offhand glance solely because Lon Cheney Jr.'s character, Larry Talbot, is intended to be a friendly everyman that nowadays comes across as the skeeziest, rape culture-iest douchebag. He spends the entire movie spying or hitting on some poor girl that displays every sign of not being interested, but it's all played as being charming.

I see you're playing the classic SNES game Sonic the Hedgehog.
(amazing decals though)

Aliens would probably make for valuable contrast, because James Cameron felt that the only way audiences would relate to his female protagonist and female monster being strong, capable characters was by making both of them into mother figures doing it all ~for the children~ (and then beating you over the head with it in the director's cut).
Get away from her, you bitch indeed!

So an update to this: I never found a place to live in Halifax that would let me move in without a job, and I never found a job in Halifax that would give me an interview if I didn't live there. I've been applying for places in Moncton, but I'm not qualified for anything: I'm not bilingual, I don't have a car, I can't lift 50 pounds, etc. I've applied for everything that I do qualify for, but haven't even gotten a single callback. On top of that, I didn't get even a single commission last month. I'm getting whatever I think I can from the government, but right now, I can't even make rent. If anyone wants to commission me, or just wants to help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Also: if you've commissioned me and haven't received anything, let me know. I lost track of my commissions while looking for work, so I have no idea if I've missed anyone. I got quite a few people who made requests but then never paid me, I put a bunch of digital things on the backburner because my computer's slowly dying and just can't handle digital artwork anymore. I don't know what to do for those instances. I can try to refund you if I have enough money on-hand, or just try to get to your request at a later date if you don't mind me waiting until I can afford to get new PC parts.
