Quit Evil Within 2
Some red gel mysteriously disappeared from my inventory. I guess i hit a bug. Maybe i quit/ quick saved at the wrong time. but i picked up two red gels (important upgrade material) in chapter 3, but when i came to use them i found i only had 1. wasted 30mins backtracking to both locations and found them empty. annoying. i'm sure it wouldn't of had much or any impact on my playthrough but it was enough to make me quit out considering there are lots of other stuff coming out soon i could be having more fun playing.
Put about 10 hours into it, apparently it's only 25-30 hours long with all side quest, but i think my playthrough would have come in way higher than that as i was only in chapter 4 of 17 odd. meticulously scoured the first mini open world environment. Not a particularly enjoyable experience, completely at odds with the main mission objective "Find you missing daughter"...nah i'll just search all these trashcan to satiate my ocd (which i don't real have in real life), i guess i just don't want to miss any "content" or "collectables".
At least do what resident evil 1 did, when a room or area was completed, the map would fill that room in on the mini map so you know whats left to explore. i don't want to have to remember how many house on the street i've checked.
Either give me assassins creed, far cry, GTA with massive open worlds so i don't get bogged down, or a more linear experience with less collectables, no upgrade stuff like uncharted. Games like Evil within and dishonoured are dead to me now. If they have to force mini open worlds in to these games i'm not going to play them any more because it just feels like work, and there's way too big a disconnect between what the games story or mission what from me and me routing through every fucking draw and trash can, which i'm always going to do if you put a collectables tied to a progression system in your game.
Imagine how good a game dishonoured 2 would have been if they filtered the powers out throughout the game like metriod. No money. no Xp. Just you needing to assassinate someone at the end of the level, and thats the game! Or make it an option, directors cut or whatever, essence mode!

6 hours ago, Dewar said:Way after you posted this, but I had that thought that maybe he was driving like a maniac so that, if his plan failed, real coop would appear in a crashing car and maybe die?
I think evilcoop is just a dingbat
unless he wanted to get arrested so he'd meet Gordon.... nah probably not

Can do solo mission
Hour long online games with randoms rage quitting. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. HOPPEPEUFLUFYFUTTYYY it'll have drop in and drop out multiplayer mid games/rounds

This comes out in like 6 weeks
I'm tempted to just pre-order as it look really good, this years overwatch.
Weirdly the standard edition is really cheap, £35 playstation digital. Which makes me think there be a lot of nickel and diming after the fact. The 4 more expensive editions bolt on exclusive weapons/outfits and gives you a bunch on xp boosts and piñatas (Which i assume is this game loot boxes)
HOOOOOPEEEEFUULYY there's a decent single player experience??? à la Orcs must die. Although i haven't seen any mention of it :/ I just don't want to have to communicate with randoms. "Hey lets go this way, hey build a trap here" hmmmm. I had the same misgivings about Overwatch and still had a ton of fun with that game, but equal frustration at bad team mates. (I can't talk, i always play these games as a lone wolf and go off a do my own thing, stilol with the team and game objective in mind.) It'll be good if you can just get on with your own thing without needing to communicate too much. On screen props for when base is getting over run etc
HOOOOOPEEEFFUUULLLYY this'll have cross platform play across PS4, xbox and PC, as that'll be better for making a game with people on here. I saw some article yesterday about Xbox going cross platform for online multilayer, perhaps that'll be the big thing this E3. Fingers crossed playstation won't be a party pooper. This feels like the ideal type of game to have full cross platform support
nice website

Jealous! I'd lover to see those bands. Was thinking yesterday whilst listening to Arcade fire how they'd be a great festival headliner act.
-
Might be a bit obvious, but, the new Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem (call the police) and The War on Drugs tracks are really good 👍🏻
All near the top on here
Also check out the artist LP (I caught Mr Vanaman listening to her and gave it a shot, good stuff)

I thought it would be something like that
"hi, I'm twin Peaks dale cooper, I die in episode 5, wabba lubba dub dub"
-
I think it originates from a Kyle MacLachlan/rolling stones magazine playlist. Must have been made especially as a promotional thing... god knows what it says though?
about blue rose. I half thought the woman in the room with him then (with the eyes) was going to start miming

got linked to this fan playlist by the unofficial website
Seems as though this will get updated with all the music as the season goes on (new music right at the bottom)

Anyone know what the song at the end was? I didn't catch it in the credits. I saw there was a song called 'Mississippi' not sure if it was that.
edit. Got it!

Where can I get me an evil cooper face massage?
also can I get that as a looping screen saver, thanks
-
Why are ya'll getting all hung up on numbers and shit? That's like the least interesting thing going on.
It was pointless telling cooper about 2:53 anyway as he was completey unawear of what the time was inside the floating box. That shit just happened to him whilist he looked dumbfounded. He didn't have any agency whatsoever. It's not like he was checking his watch and thinking "I gotta stuff my face in to this thing in 3,2,1..." it's just a fun little thing for the audience, just like:
bbbbblllluuuuueeeee rrrrrooooosssseeee = cooper doesn't even look at the blue rose.

The team America barf scene was the fucking best!
also, dude, just pull the car over!
"Heeeeellllllllllloooooooo"
i now know what I'll be shouting if I ever see Kyle MacLachlan IRL
i got to say this episode made me squeal on about 6 different occasions. Love. It.

Wait. Wtf. The price has gone from $3000 to $7000 in the last month...
i saw all the articles when when it hit $3000 and thought that’s that then, the ship has sailed. How easy is it to buy this stuff, I think I should chuck some money at it
