#OK what do folks think? I'd say unarmed combat, because you can't loose your weapons if you're unarmed, and ranged, because it gives us more options.

So, if I understand you guys, you want unarmed as your expertise, and you want to give up ranged. If so, then this is how it would work. Think as the three combat types as under a level system. The unarmed would be level 2, the melee would be level 1, and the ranged would be level 0. This doesn't mean you won't be able to use melee or ranged, they just won't be as powerful. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Also, remember to enter the simulation pod to progress the story.

I believe Signor wanted to give up melee combat, since unarmed is in a similar range and doesn't require additional weaponry. It wasn't clear that a tiered system was what you wanted instead of choosing two to develop and one to give up. I'll suggest unarmed as a focus in absence of any indication of what kinds of enemies we'll be facing.

Let's put it this way. LIMBO 1 is mostly reality, while LIMBO 2 is mostly simulated. Now enter the simulation pod, will you?
|
Alright, that works too.

Yeah I meant what Noyb said. So it would be:
Unarmed - Level 2
Ranged -Level 1
Melee - Level 0

Yes, definitely the best decision. That said, Mr. Miff will probably inflict an abundance of swords, axes, maces and cudgels on us now.
I can't find a walkthrough for this thing anywhere

LOL?

You enter the sim pod. "I am taking you to LIMBO 2 now." Whoosh!
LIMBO 2
It looks nothing like LIMBO 1, as there is only a sim pod and a box here. "There's nothing for you to really do here right now, so just say ENTER SIMULATION when you're ready to enter the sim world."

I'm guessing this is the other end of the box from LIMBO 1, so yeah just crack on with the simulation.

Indeed. Well, here goes...
Quote:

You are in a world that you can tell is simulated. It's all whiteness; there is nothing here but you. Out of nowhere, a scarecrow holding two pails appears. Then a sword and slingshot do the same. "We will test your combative abilities. Pick up the sword, then attack the scarecrow."
|
I'm going in order of how bad you are, you might figure out why. Oh, and this game doesn't use attack or kill commands, you have to specifically say how you attack. For now, SWIPE will do.

You pick up the sword. You attempt to swipe the scarecrow, but you don't even manage to make it rock. "Maybe swordplay isn't for you. How about the slingshot? Pick it up and attack."
|
Here you're gonna haveta use AIM SCARECROW and SHOOT SLINGSHOT.

Taken. Aimed. You shoot at the scarecrow and manage to rock it quite a bit. "Very good. Perhaps ranged combat is for you. But I don't think it's at its best. Why not attack the scarecrow unarmed?
|
PUNCH or KICK will do. Actually, do both. but punch in one post and kick in another.

just a suggestion: don't tell what the next move should be. That way you don't take any advantage of being a human narrator.

Erkki, this part was sorta meant to be a tutorial. After simulation day 1, I pretty much won't be giving hints of any kind, and neither will RX.
Quote:
You kick the scarecrow, compltelely knocking off the buckets it was holding. "Good, very good. Taking you to simulation day 1 part 2."
A Partially Lit Corridor
"Here we'll test more of how you fight. By the way, if you check your inventory, you'll see you still have the sword and slingshot, but since you are best at unarmed combat, you won't have much need for them, especially the sword. Narration cut off.
|
Before we can go on: Stealthy combat (Sneaking around enemies to avoid battles all together), Aggressive combat (Attacking head on), or a bit of both (Attacking enemy when his back is turned)?

C'Mon guys, make a decision. You've almost completed Phase 1 of the game!
As a note, after each Phase, I will not be continuing the game for a couple days so you guys have time to make random theories, comments, questions, etc.

Ok, I'll make an executive decision and say we'll be sneaking about but attacking people from behind if we can.
So shall we continue with the narration?

I'm surprised nobody else is playing, it took a while for me to come up with this version of the game. It used to be something really bad, which I won't even talk about.
Quote:
|
You kick the man from behind on his back. He passes out. "You may kill him if you wish, but otherwise SAY, 'CONTINUE.'"
|
Use both say and continue like the word are capitalized.
Edit: words*
