Default Bomberman 360 concept art & screenshots reveal our suicidal tendencies

Hudson, holders of the Bomberman license, recently announced that they were bringing the title to the next-gen in the shape Bomberman: Act Zero, for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

So, exciting stuff then... until; oh God they didn't? They did!? Awhh fuck it...

omg its Xtreme 2 teh MAX! II ca;nt waitn!!!

Seriously though, it's hard to envision a quality next-gen version of the game. I'm not sure there is a way to translate the simple fun of Bomberman, especially the awesome multiplayer mode, into the new complexity-oriented system. Maybe if the game were coming out on the Revolution...

Woah! And here I was being a bit miffed that the next Total War game was going to be in a medieval setting again, rather than Three Kingdoms or Warring States China.

Sucks to be a Bomberman fan (obligatory bad pun: bomberfan?)

Oh god. Why are gaming companies so intent on anally violating every franchise I hold dear from my childhood? WHY?

Hohoho this is fantastic!

It's amazing how much more personality they've given bomberman. Finally a game for adults.

Erm, besides the obviously awful taste of these concept...arts, not to mention the fans stabbed in the back, what's a First Person Bommer ?

The actual game looks like regular Bomberman with bloom lighting though (besides "First Person Bommer", obviously).

It'll be first person and it'll bomb. Either that or they misspelled Bummer.
